Southside Machine’s Control arms are heavy duty, tubular steel rear lower and rear upper control arm replacements.

Our control arms are a direct bolt-on replacement, designed to minimize and/or eliminate any wheel hop and improve cornering helping with track time consistency on your car. Stock rear control arms are ineffective on the track because they are factory made for ride comfort, allowing deflection and twist. Factory control arms will not perform on the track because of this stamped material movement causes tire traction loss with poor handling. Whether your car is a weekend cruiser or you are a weekend track addict, the SSM kits work for all applications. The rear lower control arms feature solid grease-able Delrin bushings on both ends, made of boxed steel tubing with .180” wall thickness, and a welded construction for high performance.

Our control arms also provide correct provisions for retaining your stock and/or most aftermarkets rear sway bars. When using both our upper and lower control arms, the geometry of these together will automatically adjust your pinion angle down slightly and re-center the rear-end for optimum performance and precise handling to improve vehicle traction. Our control arms (sometimes called Trailing Arms) also come with CNC machined .250″ steel mounting plates for installation onto your rear axle. These control arms will definitely let YOU be in control of your car’s performance with boxed steel tubing & Delrin bushings working together to handle the most severe abuse.

Your old muscle car will handle the track better now, than it did when it was brand new from the factory!
